Frequently Asked Questions

About eighty eight

What is eighty eight?

eighty eight is a web media player for HLS and Xtream Codes API content. It comes with a comprehensive panel to manage streams and users.

The system functions as a proxy that can combine multiple sources and TV providers in one unified interface. It allows end users to edit their playlists without requiring owner intervention.

What service guarantees do you provide?

We guarantee :

- Content security and secure panel access

- 24/7 service maintenance and monitoring

- Data protection with our proprietary secure data storage system

Playlist Management

How do I import a playlist?

Since eighty eight operates as a proxy system, you need to use our tools to load your playlists from your provider.

After importing, you can edit stream details (sources, logos, names, order, etc.) through the stream configuration page.

What happens if I reset my playlist by removing all items?

When you remove all items from your playlist, the player will display content from your provider or parent reseller.

This allows you to reset your content to default settings. To do this, navigate to the stream page and empty your playlist (see configuration section).

Once the system detects no custom stream content, it will automatically display provider content (using a hierarchical tree concept).

Can I load and manage my provider's content list?

Yes, you can import content via M3U+ playlists or through your Xtream Code details ( username and password )

Can I add multiple sources from different providers?

Yes, this is a key feature of our system. You can combine content from multiple providers within the same panel.

Categories and Content Management

How do I create and manage categories?

For live TV categories, when you import a new playlist, the system automatically detects and adds categories to the stream categories table.

You can also manually add categories through the stream category page, where you can customize names, logos, and ordering.

For movies and series, the system is optimized to require only basic category information: category ID, server provider, username, and password.

As a proxy system, it automatically imports VOD and series data when users access your locally saved category content.

Note: Standard users do not have stream or VOD content saved locally. Our system acts as a bridge between your provider and users created in our panel.

For users with attached servers, adding VOD content involves placing movie and series folders on your servers and informing the panel about these locations in the categories pages.

For example: "Movies Category A" would have ID=1 and local path like "/home/voda/movies1/".

You don't need to add VOD entries individually - the panel automatically scans folders and detects VOD content.

Typically, a VOD requires three essential files: the content (vod1.mp4), title information (vod1.title), and an icon (vod1.jpg), compatible with Xtream Code API.

We provide tools for copying series and movies to streamline this process.

User Management

How do I create users?

Your account is set as the master account by default when you register.

To create sub-accounts for sales or personal use, you need to purchase credits.

Can I manage packages and pricing?

Standard users cannot modify packages and pricing.

Users with dedicated servers have access to package and pricing management features.

Credits and Pricing

How do I order credits?

You can request credits from another user or order directly from the panel administration team.

Why can't I edit prices and packages?

We maintain unified pricing to ensure all resellers and users can benefit from our tiered credit system.

This structure provides advantages for bulk purchases - for example, ordering one account for one year might cost 50 credits, while ordering 10 accounts might cost 250 credits.

We apply a volume discount model (approximately 1/4 reduction for every 10x order increase).

Please refer to the pricing section for detailed information.

Compatibility

Is the panel compatible with Xtream Code API players?

Yes, this is a key advantage of eighty eight. The system combines multiple providers under a single URL: https://tv.eighty-eight.tv

Our service is compatible with popular players like Smarters Player, VLC, and other Xtream Code API compatible applications.
